CYBORG DYNAMICS TURNS GREAT IDEAS INTO PRODUCTS

Founded by the 2017 Australian Young Engineer of the Year Stephen Bornstein, Cyborg Dynamics is a specialist in delivering high tech, multi-disciplined engineering projects. We are an experienced, highly motivated team and we constantly innovate in a variety of engineering sectors. Our core focus is the development of complex robotics systems and projects combining mechanical, electronics and software.

THE BEST PEOPLE WITH A CREATIVE CULTURE

People make products. And products are the driving success behind this business. Cyborg Dynamics Engineering combines the most passionate and talented engineering team with an organisational culture that nurtures innovation. We reduce the upfront processes to allow for pure creativity at the start of a project before transitioning to a traditional rigorous approach when it comes to testing, certification and ultimately commercialisation.  Our proof is in our products. Check out our projects page for more info.

“When we started Cyborg, we saw so much underutilised talent in Australian engineering. Top engineers were either settling for boring jobs or going overseas to try and work on interesting projects. At Cyborg our processes are focussed around ensuring that our team gets to spend their time doing what they do best, solving challenging engineering problems” - Stephen Bornstein

Our design Philosophy

Most large companies build products using top down approaches. They develop a high level specification and then allocate to lower and lower level specs eventually getting to a point where the work package can be given to a single engineer. This doesn't allow for innovation as you rely on what is already out there (Off The Shelf) being allocated by the systems engineer. Universities do the opposite where they work in a pure R&D state at the low level creating innovative ideas but often unable to commercialise it. Cyborg Dynamics uses a 'Both Ends Against the Middle' where a high level specification is developed whilst being able to iterate in how to achieve it at the subsystem and component level. This technique, used heavily by SpaceX, caters for innovation and allows the team to incorporate the latest technologies into our products. We partner with universities, advanced manufacturing facilities and industry experts to streamline the gateway from concept exploration to production ready.

To date we have used this approach for Athena AI (the world’s first lawful targeting AI tool), Align Robotics Terramark platform (automated site layout for construction), the Safety Caravan Mover and the Warfighter UGV (world’s lightest UGV to effectively fire 50cal).

We have a wide range of capabilities and assets available to get you to the market first and with the best possible product. We look forward to working with you.
